Abstract

A weaving method and a fabric () woven by the present method includes a ground fabric () composed of ground warp yarns, one or more binding warp yarns (), first weft yarns () and second weft yarns (″) which are tied up in the ground fabric. Additionally, one or more tension warp yearns () and non-figure forming and/or figure forming pile warp yarns (), with figure forming pile warp yarns () form figure-forming pile burls (). At least one set of two successive figure forming pile burls () in the warp direction are alternately tied up over the first weft yarn (). The first weft yarn is situated on the back of the fabric () outside the ground fabric (), and over the second weft yarn (″).
