Abstract
An image forming unithas a main bodyand an opening unitthat can be opened and closed with respect to the main body. An installation unitis provided to install the secondary transfer rollerin the opening unitso that a secondary transfer rollerof the opening unitcan move within a predetermined space within a bearing holder. When the opening unitis closed, the secondary transfer rollerpresses against an opposing rollerof the main body. A groovein the main bodyis formed in a direction different from a trajectory on which the shaftof the secondary transfer rollermoves when closing the opening unit. The shaftof the secondary transfer rolleris inserted into the groovewhile moving within the predetermined space.
