Abstract
A portable wireless apparatus has an antenna capable of resonating in frequency bands of various communication systems. The portable wireless apparatus comprises an upper case; a lower casepivotably connected to the upper case; a circuit boardformed with wireless circuitstoand a grounded planar conductor electrically connected to one ends of the wireless circuitsto; a planar conductorprovided in the upper caseand having a feed section electrically connected to the other ends of the wireless circuitsto; and a conductive elementprovided in the upper caseand spaced from the planar conductor, the conductive elementhaving a length different from the length of the planar conductorwherein the planar conductorand the grounded planar conductor function as a dipole antenna, and the conductive elementfunctions as a parasitic element electromagnetically coupled with the dipole antenna.
