Abstract
A socket connector is provided for securely mounting an IC package () on a printed circuit board, said socket connector comprises an insulative housing () configured by a base () and four perimeter walls () to define a inner cavity adapted for receiving said IC package (). Said four perimeter walls () include a first sidewall () with a push finger (), a second sidewall (), a third sidewall () and a fourth sidewall (). Said second sidewall () and said fourth sidewall () further include a plurality of retaining tab () adapted for biasing guiding notches () of said IC package () relative to said retaining tab () by a elastic force generated from a push finger () after said IC package () is fully mounted in said insulative housing () of said socket connector.
