Abstract
A cylindrical rodis formed by bending sheet metalso as to bond together a pair of edgesandof the sheet metal. The cylindrical rodincludes therein (i) convex portionseach of which protrudes from the edgeand includes a sub-portion whose width is larger at a side thereof more distant from the edgethan at a side thereof less distant from the edge, and (ii) concave portionswhich are formed on the edge, have a shape complementary to the shape of the convex portions, and are fitted into the convex portions. A cylindrical rod which has high circularity and high linearity, in other words, which hardly has vertical and horizontal curves can be provided.
