Abstract
In a multi-axis machine tool comprising a first slide way () and a second slide way () set apart one from the other and extending parallel along a longitudinal axis (X), a machining station () delimited laterally by the slide ways (), a cross member () presenting opposite ends () each coupled to a respective slide way (), and a machining head () mounted to the cross member () and positionable over the machining station (), at least the cross member () is fashioned from a low thermal expansion material.
