Abstract
A projection type liquid crystal display unit includes (a) a first frame () having a first surface () formed with a first opening (), (b) a second frame () having a second surface formed with a second opening (), and (c) a liquid crystal display panel () sandwiched between the first and second frames () such that an incident light passes through the second opening (), the liquid crystal display panel () and the first opening () in this order. The first and second frames () are both composed of resin, and the first surface () of the first frame () is roughened.
