Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for producing a compound represented by formula (2):[CF(CF)][CF(CF)]C(OH)  (2)wherein n and m independently represent 0 to 10, the method comprising reacting with a halogen or a halogen-containing oxidizing agent a salt of a compound represented by formula (1):[CF(CF)][CF(CF)]C(OH)COOH  (1)wherein n and m independently represent 0 to 10.
