Abstract

The invention relates to a device for drawing a film web, made from a thermoplastic plastic, comprising at least one driven roller (), driven at a speed Vand at least one second driven roller (), driven at a speed Vwhere V<V. The rollers () are serially arranged such that a drawing gap () is embodied between the two rollers (). A width-maintaining device is arranged in the drawing gap (), which mechanically grips both edges of the film web such that the width of the film web is essentially maintained during the longitudinal drawing in the drawing gap (). The invention further relates to a method for the longitudinal drawing of films which are drawn by means of said device.
