Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method for planning networks for mobile terminals that use a radio interface based on the Code Division Multiple Access or CDMA technique. More particularly, the system and method provide a stepwhereby the Service Areas in these networks can be calculated using, as a reference, Domains calculated by means of a stepon the basis of real propagation models and taking a predetermined or estimated traffic into account on a pixel by pixel basis. In addition, the system and method make it possible to calculate the Macrodiversity Areas by means of a step, and thus to take the areas in which mobile terminals are capable of exchanging information with more than one radio base station into account at the planning step.
