Abstract
A semiconductor light emitting deviceincludes: a plurality of light emitting elements; a light emitting element mounting memberon which said light emitting elementsare mounted; and a coating memberwhich covers a surface of the light emitting element mounting memberwhere said light emitting elementsare mounted. In the semiconductor light emitting device, said light emitting element mounting memberis provided with depressed sectionsat positions where said light emitting elementsare respectively mounted; said coating memberis provided with through holes at positions respectively corresponding to the depressed sections; inner wall surfaces of (i) each of the depressed sectionsand (ii) each of the through holes respectively form (i) a first reflection surfaceand (ii) a second reflection surface; and the second reflection surfacehas an angle with respect to an optical axis of said light emitting elementsmaller than an angle of said first reflection surfacewith respect to an optical axis of said light emitting element
