Abstract

A three-phase machine has a primary part having N grooves and m electrical phase windings; a secondary part having a number p of pole pairs (P-P), each comprised of two magnetic poles of different polarities; wherein the pole gap is essentially the same for all of the pole pairs (P-P) and results from an even distribution of all of the poles on the secondary part; and at least one pole pair (P-P), with no change to its pole gap, is shifted by a predetermined distance in relation to an equidistant distribution of all of the pole pairs.
