Abstract
The present invention provides automated systems for the purification of radioisotopes, the formulation of radiopharmaceuticals or both. In preferred embodiments the radioisotopes are produced by a generator. In further preferred embodiments the automated systems comprise replaceable cassettes for easy replacement of the system's networks of tubing. Also provided are replaceable cassettes and kits for use with the automated systems of the invention. The invention further provides methods of using an automated system to purify radioisotopes, formulate radiopharmaceuticals or to do both in series.
