Abstract

A decouplerhaving a rotatable input memberfor coupling to a drive unitand a rotatable output memberfor coupling to an output drive, and a gear setfor transmitting drive from the rotatable input memberto the rotatable output member, wherein the decoupleris operable to selectively isolate an input gearof the gear setfrom driving connection with the drive unit, and to selectively engage the input gearinto driving connection with the drive unit. The invention also relates to a method of transmitting torque and to a method of installing the decoupler
