Abstract

A fluorescent lamp fixture includes a housing (), an elongate reflector () on one side of the housing () with two sets of fluorescent lamp sockets () extending from the reflector () and a refracting lens () extending over the reflector () and fluorescent lamp sockets (). A second reflector () is positioned to extend across and face the first reflector () with two fluorescent lamps () mounted between the two reflectors (). The second reflector () includes reflective longitudinal surfaces () on either side of the reflector () to reflect light from the adjacent fluorescent lamps () laterally thereof. The principal reflector () is a diffuse reflector while the second reflector () is a specular reflector. The specular reflector () is mounted to the refracting lens ().
