Abstract

A slotis formed on each of both side walls of a connector housing. A housing attachment portionof each fixing metal memberis inserted into and locked in an associated one of the slots. The housing attachment portionis divided by a slitformed in a central part thereof into both side arms, each of which has a hookprovided at the top thereof. Each of the armsis inwardly bent when the associated hook passes through the slot. After the top of each of the armspasses therethrough, each of the armsis restored from the bent condition so as to engage the hookswith the associated slot. An engaging projection portionis provided in an inner wall of each of the slotssuch that each of the engaging projection portionsis pushed out to the side of the associated slotand fit into the slitby inserting a mating connectorinto a connecting concave portionto thereby prevent the arms from being inwardly bent.
