Abstract
The invention concerns an access server and a method for integrating web based services in an existing telecommunication network services environment comprising one or several non web based telecom service elements. A non web based telecom service element is registered in a web based description server to make known service properties of said service element to web based service elements. A web based service element sends a service request to the access server, the service request using a web based protocol. The access server converts the service request to a telecom service request and transmits said telecom service request to a corresponding telecom service element using an appropriate telecom protocol. The telecom service element transmits service data to the access server. The access server transmits the received service data using the web based protocol.
