Abstract
An access point () for providing a wireless LAN, comprising: a communication unit () that performs a wireless LAN communication; a status determination unit () that, constituted by separate from hardware constituting the communication unit (), determines radio wave statuses on each of a plurality of channels; a wireless communication control unit () that selects, on the basis of the determined radio wave statuses, a channel use for the wireless LAN communication; and a communication CH switch unit () that switches from a channel currently performing the wireless LAN communication to the selected channel.
