Abstract
An antenna () for communication with a multitude of transponders () is provided, the antenna () having an antenna conductor () which completely encloses at least one read/write region () intended for a transponder () individually and/or, when a multitude of read/write regions () are arranged within a continuous inner region () enclosed by the antenna conductor (), the inner region () has constrictions () between the read/write regions () so that the antenna conductor () largely encloses these read/write regions () individually. The electromagnetic field radiated by the antenna () is thereby concentrated on the read/write regions ().
