Abstract

A fuse component with an optical indicator, which has a first terminal () and a second terminal () and also a fusible link (), which connects the terminals () and () in an electrically conducting manner. Connected in parallel with the fusible link () is at least one LED (), which indicates the failure of the fuse if the fusible link () is interrupted. Preferably two LEDs are connected in antiparallel with the fusible link.
