Abstract
The recording system consists of a recording medium () comprising a storage layer () which can store information. A data read and/or write device () comprises an array of microtips () disposed in a common plane facing the storage layer (). The recording medium () comprises at least one first electrode (). The read and/or write device () comprises at least one second electrode (). The first electrode () is disposed facing the second electrode (). The system comprises means (C) for controlling the distance (d) separating the recording medium () from the read and/or write device () by applying a potential difference (Vd) between the first () and second () electrodes. The read and/or write device () comprises contact elements () which are disposed between the read and/or write device () and the recording medium () and which co-operate with the storage layer () so as to cushion the contact between the microtips () and the storage layer ().
