Abstract
An image processing apparatus for removing block distortion comprises an area specifying unitfor specifying a block distortion area to remove the block distortion therefrom in a reconstructed image decoded from a compressed data, and a block distortion area noise removing unitfor removing the noise from the block distortion area.
