A stream of packets is monitored. When a first packet in the stream of packets is detected to be destined for a target mobile station (), the first packet is intercepted. Subsequently, a small initialization packet is sent to the target mobile station (). The small initialization packet structured to inform the target mobile station () of an identity of an originating application that is initiating a communication session with the target mobile station ().
