Abstract
A reproduction apparatus and a content information reproduction method for simultaneous reproduction from two recording media and instantaneous audio switching. A frequency-division section and another frequency-division section each frequency-divide a master clock provided by an oscillation section at a predetermined frequency-division ratio so as to generate clocks. A hard disk uses the clocks coming from the frequency division section as a basis to reproduce audio/visual AV) data, and an optical disk uses the clocks coming from the frequency-division section as a basis to reproduce the AV data. In response to a user's instruction, when audio switching is performed for output to a speaker, a clock selection section switches a clock to be supplied to a D/A converter into the clock provided by the frequency-division section, or the clock provided by the frequency-division section.
