Abstract
On an information recording medium, an entire stream including a plurality of portion streams, each of which is provided with content information, is multiplexed-and-recorded by a unit of packet. The information recording medium is provided with a file for storing object data, which is provided with a plurality of packets, each of which stores therein a piece of the content information. The information recording medium is further provided with a file for storing information which defines a reproduction sequence of the object data and a file for storing information for indicating a discontinuous condition of a serial number of the plurality of packets corresponding to a recording order upon multiplexing-and-recording. The discontinuous condition is generated by a lack of the packet upon editing, with respect to the serial number.
