Abstract
A method of controlling the spread of volatile substances is provided. The method comprises the steps of: a) impregnating a fragrance component comprising at least one PRM onto a plurality of surfaces of a sorbent to form a volatile substance-controlling composition; and b) disposing the volatile substance-controlling composition into an article wherein the fragrance component is released from the sorbent primarily in the presence of one or more volatile substances when the volatile substances are adsorbed by the sorbent.
