Abstract
The present invention relates to a gas management devicecomprising: a gas inletadapted to secure a casing of a vessel, preferably a closuresealing an opening of a gas cylinder containing pressurized gas; a gas outletadapted to be secured to an inflatable unit; and a puncture devicefor puncturing the casing of the vessel. The puncture devicecomprises a pyrotechnical detonatorthat, when activated, creates a chock wave which punctures the casing of the vessel, whereby gas from the vesselis directed to the inflatable unit. The invention also relates to a method and a system for transferring gas from a pressurized vessel to an inflatable unit via a gas management device.
