Abstract

Mobile phone-adds information that indicates the extensions of attachment files the user desires to obtain to an HTTP request for obtaining e-mail, and sends the HTTP request to a mail server. When mail serverreceives the HTTP request, it compares the files attached to the e-mail with information included in the HTTP request, and determines whether to send the attachment files. In a case where it is determined not to send an attachment file, mail serverdeletes the attachment file from the e-mail, and sends the e-mail from which the attachment has been deleted to mobile phone-
