Abstract

A substrate for mounting a light-emitting element that has excellent efficiency in extracting light from a light-emitting element and can be manufactured at a low cost. The substrate for mounting a light-emitting elementhas a metal base materialin which a reflective cup portionfor reflecting a light emitted from a light-emitting elementtoward a predetermined direction is formed, and an enamel layerthat covers the surface of this metal base material, with the thickness of the enamel layerbeing within a range of 30 μm to 100 μm.
