Abstract
A tool is proposed for metal-cutting machining of bore surfaces with at least one cutter insert () which is let into the end face () of the tool () and at least one cutter insert () which is let into the circumferential face () of the tool (), said cutter inserts () having at least two geometrically defined cutting edges. Said tool is characterized by the fact that one of the cutting edges of the cutter inserts is embodied as a roughing cutting edge () and the other cutting edge of the cutter inserts is embodied as a finishing cutting edge ('), and in that the cutting edges are arranged on the two ends of a side edge (′) of the cutter inserts.
