Abstract
A light source () includes a plurality of light emitting devices (), each of which output light that is collimated by a first focusing structure (). The collimated light is input to second focusing structure (), which focuses light from the light emitting devices as a single beam that is substantially homogeneous. The light source may be used in an LCD display, a projection system, a television system, or a computer monitor, to name a few applications.
