The invention relates to methods and compositions utilizinggreen fluorescent proteins (rGFP), andgreen fluorescent proteins (pGFP). In particular, the invention relates to the use ofGFP orGFP proteins as reporters for cell assays, particularly intracellular assays, including methods of screening libraries using rGFP or pGFP.
