Abstract
A brake actuator includes a carrier () having a centerline (), a periphery and a radial slot () in the periphery, and an EMA (), including an electric motor () having a longitudinal centerline () and a ram () having a longitudinal centerline () operatively connected to the electric motor (), where the electric motor () is designed to move the ram () in the direction of the ram longitudinal centerline (), the EMA () being mounted on the carrier () in the slot () with the ram longitudinal centerline radially () inward of the periphery and the motor longitudinal centerline () radially outward of the periphery. Also the EMA () used in the brake actuator.
