Abstract

It is an object of the present invention to shorten the time needed to start when a cellular phone is switched on. If a power key is switched off during operation, the display of an LCD is switched off, and key interrupts and the like are masked. In this case, data in the middle of the process of an application program in execution, execution addresses and the like are stored, and shift to a suspension state is signaled notified to a baseband unit. The CPU of an application unit is set to a deep sleep mode, and the cellular phone waits for a start instruction from the baseband unit.
