Abstract
A method of manufacturing a transponder () where a transponder IC () comprising two IC contacts () is brought into communication-capable connection, via each time one of the IC contacts (), with one of two transmission element strips () provided on a tape-like carrier () of an intermediate product (), the intermediate product () then being cut through along cutting zones () extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the carrier and the transponder IC () being connected to the portion of the intermediate product () located between two cutting zones ().
