Abstract
A steering handleis connected to a front-left wheel FWvia first and second steering shaftsand, a pinion gearand a rack bar. The pinion gearis connected to a front-right wheel FWvia third to fifth steering shaftsand, a pinion gearand a rack bar. A first differential gear mechanismis interposed between the first and second steering shaftsand, whereby the rotation of an electric motorrealizes the difference in the rotation between the input shaft and the output shaft of the first differential gear mechanism. A second differential gear mechanismis interposed between the third and fourth steering shaftsand, whereby the rotation of an electric motorrealizes the difference in the rotation between the input shaft and the output shaft of the second differential gear mechanism. Therefore, the pair of left and right steering wheels FW, FWare steered independently, thereby enhancing maneuverability of a vehicle.
