Abstract
A modular jack assembly () for being mounted on a mother board () and engaging with a mating plug. The modular jack has a number of terminal modules (), an insulative housing (), an outer shield () surrounding the insulative housing () and a power over ethernet assembly (). The terminal module is provided with a base element () having a front portion (), a rear portion (), a top portion (), a side portion () and a number of connecting terminals () mounted thereon. The terminal module further includes a pair of daughter boards () attached to the side portions of the base element, a contacting module () assembled to the front portion and a connecting element () mounted to the rear portion.
