Abstract
An information processing apparatus is provided including a memory configured to store content data and corresponding content management information. The content management information defines a rule set relative to reproduction of the content data. The content data and management data are embodied in a first format. A processor is configured to convert the first format of the content management information into a second format, different from the first format. A transmitter is provided to transmit the second format of the content management information to another information processing apparatus.
