A photoconductive member component comprising a supporting substrate and thereover a photogenerating layer comprising a tetrahalobenzamidazolebenzene or a bis(tetrahalophenyl)biphenylbisimidazole of the alternative following formulas or dimers thereof wherein each of R, R, R, R, and Rare the same or different and are independently selected from the group comprising hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, and halogen, and a charge transport layer component.
