Abstract
The object of the invention is to easily and simply output a document including an image in a desired layout. A script generation devicegenerates a script used to control a layout of a printerand transfers the generated script to the printerThe script includes multiple drawing control commands that individually adjust output positions with regard to a plurality of images to be output in a preset output range. The sequence of arrangement of the multiple drawing control commands specifies the overlapping state of the plurality of images. The script of this construction enables the user to readily define and change the overlapping state and thereby attain a desired layout.
