Abstract
A method for transferring information over a data connection in accordance with a protocol stack () comprising first and second protocol layers. The method is characterized in that a protocol identifier is created the value of which is determined by means of the first protocol layers of said protocol stack and which is delivered to the second protocol layers of said protocol stack.
