Abstract
A filter body () which is intended, in particular, for the filtration of particles contained in the exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine. The filter body () is formed by bonding filter blocks () using a joint (). An outer surface () of the first of the blocks (), which is disposed opposite the second of the blocks () and which is in contact with the joint (), includes at least one projection- and/or cavity-type irregularity ().
