Abstract
Illumination unit UT is used for the illumination of an LCD panelfrom the rear side of the LCD panel. Illumination unit UT includes light source, rear coverto cover light sourceand resin frameassembled with rear cover. Resin frameis provided with stopperand ribdisposed to restrict the movement of stopperperpendicularly to rib. Rear coverhas first and second aperturesandprovided correspondingly to receive stopperand rib, respectively. Resin frameand rear coverare assembled with each other by the engagement of stopperand ribwith first and second aperturesand, respectively.
