Abstract

Pliers () operable with one hand have two plier legs (), which pivot in relation to one another about an engagement bolt () and overlap one another in a crossover region. The plier legs () are connected by a control element () and a spring drive (), which pretensions a mouth of the pliers into an open position. The control element () has two links () that are connected to one another in the manner of a toggle lever by means of a toggle joint. A spring () pretensions the links () into an extended position, wherein the spring () can be changed in its length. The engagement bolt is inserted into the pliers legs during a spreading of the pliers legs.
