Abstract
A glass composition for use in a lamp bulb includes cobalt oxide to provide a blue colored glass. The composition has an alkali metal oxide including lithium oxide. Such composition has a glass transition temperature Tbelow 700° C.; e.g., below 500° C. The glass composition is used for forming, during operation, a blue light-emitting bulb for an automotive lamp.
