Abstract

A fan () is disclosed having an electric motor () which rotatably drives an annular array of blade irons () each having a blade () mounted thereto. Each blade iron has a motor mounting portion () configured to be coupled with the electric motor for rotation. The motor mounting portion has an arcuate, vertical wall () and a horizontal flange (). The horizontal flange has a first mounting hole () and an oblong second mounting hole (). A first mounting screw () having a first bushing or bearing () thereon passes through each first mounting hole and into a threaded mounting hole () in the motor (). Similarly a second mounting screw () having a second bushing or bearing () thereon passes through each second mounting hole and into a threaded mounting hole () in the motor. With this configuration the blade iron can pivot relative to the motor.
