Abstract
A toilet () having an automatic flush assembly () includes a toilet bowl (), a water holding tank () for supplying water to the toilet bowl (), and a flush valve (). The holding tank () supplies water to the toilet bowl () and defines a handle opening () for an actuating handle () of the toilet (). The flush valve () provides fluid communication between the toilet bowl () and the holding tank (). The automatic flush assembly () is mounted in the handle opening () and includes a sensor section (), a control section (), and an actuating mechanism (). The sensor section () detects the presence of a person in front of the toilet bowl (). The control section () receives a detection signal from the sensor section () and initiates a flush signal to the actuating mechanism (), which actuates the flush valve ().
