Abstract
A frame () for an x-ray inspection device comprises a structural member () to which is pivoted an arcuate frame (). An x-ray source () is in use mounted directly to the member (), and an x-ray detector () is movable around the frame (). A three axis sample support for items to be imaged is arranged between the source () and detector (). The frame () of the invention is particularly rigid.
