Abstract

A scanning device capable of quickly starting scanning is placed on a base platform. The scanning device includes a housing, a glass platen, a scanning module, a control circuit and a scan-start unit. The housing has a top surface and a bottom surface. The glass platen, on which a to-be-scanned document is placed, is mounted on the top surface. The scanning module is movably installed within the housing to scan the to-be-scanned document. The control circuit controls the scanning module to proceed with a scan operation. The scan-start unit is electrically connected to the control circuit and mounted on the housing and in direct contact with the base platform. When a user applies a direct/indirect pressing force on the to-be-scanned document, the scanning module is triggered to start the scan operation.
