Abstract

A light source device has an internal electrode () disposed at an end portion inside a bulb (), and an external electrode () disposed outside the bulb (). A holder member () holds the external electrode () so as to be opposed to the bulb () with a predetermined spacing (). A dielectric member () is disposed outside the bulb (), at a position corresponding to the internal electrode () so as to be interposed between the bulb () and the external electrode ().
